Benjamin Huerta is the Head of Center for the Americas Customer Experience site located in Guadalajara, México. This development center integrates development, service and operation engineering teams for units across Amdocs particularly in the Americas region, with more than 600 engineers focus in telecommunication market. Benjamin´s career span 30 years during which he held executive roles and led global teams. Mr. Huerta was R&D and Marketing Manager at Hewlett Packard with worldwide responsibility for product development and commercialization of high-end commercial printers. he was Program Manager for the design and construction of the new data center and telecommunications center at the New York campus of the United Nations. Was Engineering Manager at Intel with responsibilities for design and validation of SoC chips for microserver devices. For the public sector, He was the first General Manger of IJALTI (Jalisco State IT Institute) developing the institute and their first industry development projects like “Centro del Software” which is the largest SW park in Latin America. Benjamín was Under Minister for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology of the State of Jalisco developing the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem and the attraction of high tech direct foreign investment. Has been a technology entrepreneur with ENERI and Artescena. Currently is President of IJALTI. Benjamin Huerta holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from ITESO University, a Master Degree in Semiconductors design by Stanford / UAG and a Diploma for Strategic Marketing from Kellog Business School. He is author of two patents and has been professor in the engineering and business programs at ITESO, ITESM and La Salle universities.
